Every program runs on Gotham 360°™ (formerly The Complete Athlete) Gotham 360°™ is our own system of coaching, developed at Gotham, that goes beyond technique to develop the whole athlete. GOTHAM 360º All of our programs are based on Gotham 360°™, a proprietary system of coaching developed by Gotham Gymnastics that goes beyond fundamental techniques to support the development of well rounded gymnasts through, but not limited to, an emphasis on eight core components: Gymnastics Athletic Performance Mental Performance Nutrition Physical Therapy Medical Support Enrichment Family Support Gymnastics Gymnastics is the reason we exist. We utilize the latest breakthroughs in sports science to maximize training with progression systems that have proven positive results. Athletic Performance Our goal is to improve the athletic performance of our gymnasts individually and as a group. We do so efficiently with strength and conditioning protocols that include yearly periodization to help injury reduction and overtraining. Mental Performance We consider mental performance to be every bit as important as athletic performance. We provide our gymnasts with sports psychology lectures on topics ranging from strategy to self-care. To ensure a healthy and supportive environment for all, we also encourage our athletes, parents and coaches to develop a triangle of trust with each other. Nutrition Balanced nutrition and hydration are crucial and often overlooked when it comes to training. We educate our athletes with periodic lectures on healthy food choices and the importance of properly fueling their body. We also provide live group nutritional support and family education to promote healthy eating at home. Physical Therapy We provide physical therapy resources to support our gymnasts’ health and safety. These may include onsite troubleshooting visits from physical therapists to address individual or group issues, rehab and prehab programs to help reduce injuries, return-to-play protocols after an injury or illness, and additional assistance as needed. Medical Support Our programs are developed with recommendations from the medical community, and we are mindful of the latest medical news to impact the sport of gymnastics. We partner with the medical community to help support the latest research in sports medicine, and we provide medical referrals to our athletes as needed. Enrichment Our enrichment initiatives provide our athletes with events, opportunities and programs designed to strengthen leadership skills, teamwork, and a sense of community service. These initiatives include charity events, leadership & mentoring programs, team-building exercises, and our PROACTIVE college recruiting program. Family Support We help educate families about the training process and involve them in the support of their athletes. Families who understand the training process, trust the coaches and support their athletes are essential to helping athletes reach their highest potential.

  • ABOUT US | Gotham Gymnastics | Brooklyn | New York | Classes | NYC

Founded by coaches and parents with 50+ years of experience, Gotham Gymnastics is New York's gym for every gymnast, from first cartwheel to college recruit. Brooklyn's gym for every kind of gymnast, from first cartwheel to college recruit. One approach to the whole athlete, built by coaches: Gotham 360°. Gotham Gymnastics was founded by coaches and parents who wanted a different model, one that puts the athlete first, not just their scores. We coach the whole person: body, mind, and the kid standing in front of us. Together with our advisors, we're working to make gymnastics safer and more inspiring than it's ever been. Every program runs on Gotham 360°™ (formerly The Complete Athlete) Gotham 360°™ is our own system of coaching, developed at Gotham, that goes beyond technique to develop the whole gymnast. It centers on eight components: Gymnastics: the foundation of technique, strength, and skill progression. Athletic Performance: speed, power, and conditioning. Mental Performance: focus, nerves, and confidence under pressure. Nutrition: fueling growing athletes. Physical Therapy: staying healthy and recovering well. Medical Support: care when athletes need it. Enrichment: growth beyond the gym. Family Support: because gymnastics is a family commitment. It's the same approach whether your child is in their first Gotham Kids class or training Level 10. Across our two Brooklyn locations on Douglass Street you'll find competition grade vault, bars, beam, and floor, plus a foam pit, and trampolines, the same equipment our team athletes train on, open to every class. Our second location opened in summer 2024, doubling the space for Brooklyn's gymnasts. We take athleticism, sportsmanship, discipline, and personal bests seriously, while still letting kids be kids. Whether your goal is improved balance, a Big Ten scholarship, or a spot on the Olympic team, you belong at Gotham Gymnastics.
